Financial Settlements
The Courts have a strong emphasis on encouraging the husband and wife to agree on the division of their finances between themselves. Going to Court can be an expensive and time-consuming process; therefore it is in the parties’ own interests to settle matters out of Court.
Pre-nuptial Agreements
So, you have planned the wedding your every child hood dream immersed itself within…the dress, the car, the flowers, the rings…but what about the peace of mind?
Civil Partnerships
Ending a civil partnership has many similarities with ending a marriage. Rather than a divorce, it is called ‘dissolution’.
Co-habitation Disputes
It may come as some surprise that cohabitees do not have the same rights as married couples, even if they have cohabited together for many years.
Grandparents Rights
Divorce and separation can cause grandparents to lose what’s most precious to them. The legal system today denies devoted grandparents the right to contact with their grandchildren and overlooks the pivotal role they play.
Injunctions
An injunction is an Order of the Court which prevents somebody from doing something. Our experts here at BPS have extensive experience dealing with urgent injunctions. If you would like any further advice please contact us.
Enforcement of Court Orders
Usually once a financial order is in place the parties will comply with its terms. However, if either party does not comply then enforcement action may be required.
